The (Portland) Oregonian did a blurb on MTTA and used one of Ed's photos of the Yurt  to illustrate the article. Check it out at:

Re: Thats a Yurt

We have two propane fireplaces for heat; one upstairs and one in the basement. We had a woodstove in the basement for awhile, but it was not the right stove for the space and eventually replaced it with a propane model. We also have a propane range for cooking. At one time we also used gas lamps for lighting, but they were pulled (over my strong objections*)in favor of a solar electric system. In theory, I like the solar concept, but the lights just don't put out the quality or quantity of the gas lamps.

*I manage the Yurt for a non-profit trail system. I usually have free reign to do what I want with it; but the removal of the gas lamps was mandated by the organization's board of directors.
